Press Release Body: Irrespective of how the team fared in the league matches, the Hyderabad Heroes team can now boast of being the champions of the Edelweiss Challenge after scoring 2-0 in the final matches of the series. The recently formed team of the Lahore Badshahs, who reached the finals undefeated, are themselves to blame for the series that they lost.
In the bowl out that decided the fate of the match, the bowlers of the Lahore Badshahs fared really bad and lost the game pretty easily after so much struggle that they did in the match to defend the Heroes from making the target score. In the match that was tied at the score of 130 runs, the atmosphere in the stadium was electrifying and people were just anticipating more fun and excitement.
Weaknesses of both the teams came to the forefront in the match. The Lahore Badshahs won the toss and chose to bat first. But the disciplined bowling from the Heroes restricted the start from being a very good one. Umar was lost in the fifth over on a score of just 13 runs. Nazir, the other opener shared the same score as Farhat on third place when they both were dismissed with 30 runs each on the same number of balls which was 27. The middle order of the teams was cracked well by Binny and Reddy who took their wickets very rapidly leaving the Lahore Badshahs with the lowest total of 130 runs that they have made in the series.
The Hyderabad Heroes while chasing the score were going on pretty well but rapid falling of wickets after the dismissal of Boje led the team to a crash. The score which otherwise seemed achievable was seeming very difficult with the confusion and dilemma faced by the batsmen. Run outs, free hits, wide balls etc made the match even more excruciating for players. Finally it was the Hyderbad Heroes that won the bowl out by 3-1 in four tries that took place. Rayadu and Hasan were the Men of the Match whereas Razzaq was awarded the Man of the series.
